How much a website for a business costs: real prices and what each level includes

The honest answer is not a single number: it depends on what is included. This guide publishes our real prices, what each level includes, what makes a website cost more with any provider, and the costs that continue after publishing.

The real question: what you are buying

When you ask for the price of “a website”, you are not buying a file: you are buying the design, the copy, the publishing and, above all, that a customer looking for you can find you and reach you. That is why two websites can cost very different amounts even though both are called “a website”: what changes is what they include.

This guide answers with our published prices, with no fine print, and also explains what makes a website cost more with any provider, so you can compare complete proposals instead of bare numbers.

Our prices, published

Basic Website, $159: a custom website built with our builder, with a live preview and chat adjustments, mobile-ready, with a WhatsApp button and a downloadable file. Professional Website, $369: everything in Basic, with a fuller site — gallery, testimonial and pricing sections. Premium Website, $629: everything in Professional, with publishing-queue priority. All three are published on our infrastructure, after you confirm your design, and their validity is per approved quote.

The other route is the Web Subscription (WaaS): a $49 start and $84 a month, and we take care of hosting, the domain, updates, security, backups and the content changes included in the plan. And for projects with particular needs, custom work (Custom Built) is quoted per project: production starts with a deposit of 40% of the approved quote (minimum $199).

What makes a website cost more, with any provider

More sections and pages than the base package. Selling online, with payments and a catalog. Producing the copy and photos from scratch, when the business does not have them. Publishing in two languages. And the extras the business actually uses: a QR Menu for a restaurant ($39 plus $15 a month), a set-up Google Business Profile ($39), a basic logo ($49) or additional pages ($49 each).

None of that is mandatory: the right decision is to pay for what your customer will use, not for a long list of features nobody will touch.

The costs that continue after publishing

Publishing is not the end: a website lives as long as it is maintained. If the domain and hosting are in your name, they renew periodically; copy, prices and photos change with your business; and someone has to make those changes. In our packages the site is published on our infrastructure, and the route that covers maintenance month to month is the Web Subscription (WaaS). The right question when comparing is not only “how much does it cost to start?”, but “what happens in month two?”.

And one honesty we keep across our whole catalog: we do not guarantee Google ranking, traffic, calls, customers or sales. No serious provider can guarantee those; what can be guaranteed is the work delivered, with its scope in writing.

Common mistakes when comparing prices

Comparing only the starting number, without the list of what each proposal includes. Paying everything up front without having seen a preview of your own website. Launching a pretty website with no contact route that truly works — call button, WhatsApp button or form, tested end to end. And believing that “having a website” and “being found” are the same thing: they are two different jobs, and it pays to know which one you are buying.

How to decide, and the guarantee we work under

Decide with three questions: what does your customer need to find when they look you up, how will they contact you from the site, and what should they be able to do there — read your services, see your prices, book, order. With those answers, the level chooses itself: you start with the one that covers that, not the most expensive nor the cheapest.

Our way of working is published: you see your website on a preview link and confirm the launch before anything is published; if you cancel before work begins, your deposit is refunded in full. And you can start without paying: in the builder at polancodigital.com you describe your business and see your finished website before you decide.
